Maybe it was the vibrant chevron pattern, the smiling sun, or the fact that it has been raining in NYC for the past two days but this submission put a smile on our face. Chelsea of Eye Candy Events created this party for the first birthday of her little sunshine, her daughter. Since discovering the chevron pattern on our blog, Chelsea has had a slight obsession with the pattern. Sweet treats included lemon birthday cake, caramel mud cake cupcakes, banana cakes and sunshine cake pops. Other fun details included a sun piñata, chevron favor tote bags filled with copies of Little Miss Sunshine and Mr. Happy books. It definitely looked like a sunshine day! So cheerful. Love that little cake!
How darling!
I LOVE YELLOW! What a wonderful colour and theme. I had JUSt baked a yellow lemon cake as well this week
If only I had a yellow party to cater for…
Love the take on the Little Miss book! Devine!
I love the sun cake pops! They brighten up any old winter day.
Hi beautiful work with the risers could you tell me what is used to make them in that size ? Is that a milk glass cake stand painted in yellow? Thanx
Love it… going to replicate it for a youth event for the 12-18yr old girls in my church. Where can I purchase the “You are my sunshine” print?
