Black & White Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions

Happy Black Friday everyone!  Since it’s Black Friday, we thought we’d share a black and white table from Jacki at Blissfully Sweet on the busiest shopping day of the year. She created this table for her own 40th birthday party.  We love the chic and elegant black and white palette. Jacki not only baked all of the sweet treats, but she created  the invitations as well. She loved the idea of having three cakes. However, only thirty people were invited and she knew that she was going to be making lots of other sweet treats. Her solution..the cakes were for display only. This is a great trick that we have used several times for parties. Using dummy cakes for all or a portion of the cake is a fantastic way to keep the statement without the cost. Edible sweet treats included vanilla mocha macarons with chocolate ganache, black bloomed devils food cake pops and lemon poppyseed cupcakes. At the end of the night, everyone was given a doily encased cake in a jar as a favor. Happy 40th, Jacki!
