WHAT IS YOUR ROLE AT AAE:
I am the design and style intern. Adobe Creative Suite Guru.
WHAT BROUGHT YOU TO US:
A friend first told me about AAE back in 2009 and I fell in love with the dessert tables. Then I started seeing articles about Amy Atlas in different magazines and I knew I had to involve myself in one way or the other. I applied for an internship twice, and on the third attempt I finally heard back from the team.
YOU ARE FROM FRANKLIN LAKES, NJ- (as seen on RHONJ) WHICH CITY DO YOU LIKE BETTER AND WHY:
It’s hard to compare upper middle class suburbia to Manhattan. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. I miss my car when I am living in the City; especially when it’s brutally cold, but when I am home, I miss the excitement of NYC!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SWEET:
Chocolate chip cookies! The gooier the better. My favorite is definitely from Jacques Torres. They are to die for.
WHAT HAS BEEN THE BEST PART OF YOUR INTERNSHIP:
The best part of my internship so far is really getting to know the roots of the business and attending meetings with potential clients. Also, helping to design the inspiration boards and being introduced to the beautiful things in the world of event styling is an amazing time.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE SOMEONE TRYING TO BECOME AN AAE INTERN:
An intern at AAE must have a creative eye and a detail oriented mindset. Being crafty and loving sweets doesn’t hurt either!
