Miss Piggy Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids

There is a big Muppet resurgence with the movie coming out this month. I must confess, I was a big Muppets fan. I always watched The Muppet Show with amusement as the puppets came to life. My favorite, of course, was the always glamourous and posh, Miss Piggy. When this submission from Lynlee at Lynlee’s Petite Cakes popped up in our inbox, it made us all smile. Lynlee created this party for her Grandmother.  In the new movie, Miss Piggy works at French Vogue so Lynlee thought it would be fun to incorporate fashion, glam and Paris into the table. We love how she paired the silhouette of Miss Piggy with a Chanel inspired houndstooth pattern. Invitations resembled a Vogue magazine subscription insert and the food tags highlighted the “Editor’s Picks”. The center of the dessert table included Ms. Piggy’s “Top Looks”, showcasing outfits and accessories with fondant on sugar cookies. The “I Love Kermit” is a fun prop! A black ornate frame with Miss Piggy’s silhouette sat on the table. The silhouette was made out of rice krispy treats and was decorated with fondant. Other sweet treats included chocolate Eiffel Tower pops and lipstick cake push pops. Favor bags included piggy bath salts, lipstick pens, and green Kermit lip gloss. If you ask “Moi”, Lynlee did a great job. Scroll down below to see the vendor credits.
