Easy Spooky Mini Pumpkin Pudding for Tori Spelling’s EdiTORial

Photography by Allan Zepeda.

We’re so happy to be on Tori Spelling’s EdiTORial today.  Hop on over there to see the full post.

PS – We loved creating these spooky little guys.  They are perfect for dessert for a kid or adult Halloween party. It is easy to do and quite delicious. Below are the DIY pictures, instructions and stencil to create these spooky, yet sweet, pudding pumpkins.

Ingredients:

1 (5 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
1 (15 ounce) can solid pack pumpkin
1 ½ tablespoons pumpkin pie spice
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 16 ounce (or 2 8 ounce) container Cool Whip
12 small pumpkins
12 Oreo cookies

1. In a large bowl, mix together the instant vanilla pudding mix, canned pumpkin, pumpkin pie spice, and cinnamon.

2. Fold in the Cool Whip. Put in refrigerator to chill, at least half hour.

3. Meanwhile, clean off the pumpkins with a moist paper towel.

4. With a sharp knife or pumpkin carving tool, cut off the stem end of the pumpkins.  Set tops aside.

5. Using a melon baller or spoon, hallow out the inside of the pumpkin, making sure to remove all of the pumpkin seeds and pulp.

6. Put the refrigerated pumpkin pudding mixture inside of each pumpkin hole and level off with a knife.

7. In a food processor, grind the Oreo cookies to form Oreo crumbs.

8. Put stencil on top of each pumpkin and pour Oreo crumbs on top to create eyes, nose and mouth.  You can get the stencil here {PUMPKIN PUMPKIN}.  Remove stencil and excess Oreo crumbs.

9. Serve immediately and enjoy!
