Autumnal Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions

Fall has definitely arrived. I am definitely a summer girl..but I do love Autumn in New York. The crisp cool weather, the leaves falling in Central Park, the marathon, there is something about this season that makes me fall in love with NYC all over again.  The only thing I don’t love about fall is knowing that winter is creeping behind it.  Cara-Lynn from Sweet Style created these treats for an “arrival of autumn” soiree with her friends. Dipping into her Canadian roots for inspiration, the maple leaf and the color red played a leading role in the creation of her desserts. Sweet treats included mini cherry almond pies, cookie pops stamped with a maple leaf, apple pie pops, and cupcakes with leaf fondant toppers. The ladies ate their sweet treats in front of a fireplace and decided that this dessert table should be a staple ever year.

  • As a fellow NYer I feel the same about the winter creeping in. The only thing that lures me into fall is proudly baking our locally grown apples into a delicious apple pie. Next stop pumpkin recipes in November and Gingerbread in December!! Nice work Cara Lynn your presentation is so chic!!
