Motorcross Madness Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids

Stephanie from Spaceships and Laserbeams is back with yet another creative dessert table for boys. As we’ve mentioned before, Stephanie’s Etsy Collective is a “No Princess Zone,” featuring DIY printables that show how much fun a boy’s party can be. This party highlights her new “Xtreme Awesomeness” collection—a table that makes dirt bikes affordable and simple, but still exciting for a little boy. What’s the first thing a dirt bike brings to mind? That’s right- MUD! To reflect the massive amount of dirt involved in the sport, Stephanie incorporated a lot of chocolate in the form of cookies, pudding, fudge, cake, “dirt cupcakes,” and mini mud pies. She also took visual cues from motocross racing and incorporated those design elements into the table. Black licorice candy became rubber tires, the mini mud pies looked like mud puddles and the classic black and white checkered racing pennant appeared on top of the cake, wrapped around the dirt cupcakes and in the signage. We love how Stephanie sneaks healthy treats onto most of her tables and this one is no different. The “peach donuts” are actually peeled, hollowed peaches with a white chocolate glaze, rather than deep fried dough. The mud pie pudding is actually vegan, made with an avocado base. Gentlemen, start your engines! This party is ready to kick into gear.
