S’mores may be the one kid’s treat adults feel no shame in eating. Whether you spent your childhood summers in front of a campfire or in the middle of the city, that gooey chocolate sandwich is nostalgia in dessert form. However you toast your marshmallow (from golden brown to burnt black), half the fun is in building your s’more. Of course, we love eating them too!

Today is National S’mores Day, so we’ve put together a round-up of s’mores in many forms. From classic sandwiches with a clever twist to s’mores re-imagined into pie, cakelets and ice pops, we love all of these playful interpretations of the classic dessert. A trio of s’mores ingredients also looks adorable wrapped up as a DIY kit, the perfect hostess gift for an outdoor party.

Last February we posted some behind-the-scenes images from our photoshoot with The Knot, featuring a s’mores-themed dessert table. Now that it’s summer, what better time to have s’mores cupcakes, s’mores mousse shots, homemade mallomars and fluffernut chocolate chip sandwiches?  Happy S’mores Day!
