Lilly Pulitzer Inspired Guest Dessert Feature

As you may have learned, we are slaves to fashion. We also love summer and laying poolside.  This post brought the two together.  Shawna from Pretend Party & Play created this Lilly Pulitzer Poolside Party for her 6 year old daughter’s birthday.  Shawna was inspired by the beautiful colors in Lilly’s designs and her book “Essentially Lilly: A Guide to Colorful Entertaining”. It was a pool party that was filled with sun, fun and yummy treats. The girls relaxed poolside while they lunched on sandwiches.  Desserts included cupcakes (housed in a dollhouse), cookies and ice cream.  And what would summer be without a convertible?  We love the way Shawna used the convertible to house the goodie bags. Very fun!

How perfect are these? Shawna found these Barnum’s Animal Crackers that had packaging designed by Lilly Pulitzer.

Sweet note:  The monkey is wearing a dress that her daughter wore when she was a little.
