Come Sail Away Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids

When Lisa saw this submission, she immediately started singing “Come Sail Away” by Styx!  It seemed like the perfect name for this submission.  Sent in by Renee from The Inspired Occasion, this party was created for Renee’s partner Alex’s son’s birthday (his 4th) and Renee’s sister’s birthday (her 24th). They wanted a color palette and theme that would work for both adult and children shipmates.  The nautical theme with its red white & blue color palette worked perfectly. We love the sailboat wheel, the “Little Sailor’s” gable box lunches, the ahoy straws, and the nautical cake {a three tiered chocolate mud cake made by Alex}.  Alex also made cupcakes, mini jelly cups, toffee apples, cake pops, sugar cookies and mini donuts. All of the printables were designed by Renee and can be purchased in her online store. Great job!

Love the idea. I’d also like to know what’s in the lunch boxes?

  • Ahoy there,I love the colour combination, red white and blue….
I was there and the lunch boxes had Hawaiian pizza all the way from Hawaii,
All the children sailed away to exotic islands,in search of treasure,
and we sang a sailor went to sea sea sea, where else could they go but to sea,
this party was put together with style…..:) Pirate Pearl
