Sweet Baby Shower Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids

The ladies from Spaceship and Laserbeams have done it again.  Stephanie sent us these photos of a beautiful baby shower that she threw for her one of her best friends.  It was a small, intimate party for some of her closest friends.  The mama to be is a designer herself, so Stephanie felt the pressure to make it sophisticated and stylish.  Sophisticated and Stylish…..check!  The theme of the party was “Our Precious Gift” and naturally, the ladies created a new collection just for the event.  The handmade burlap flowers, yard-clad “J”, and plaid touches work so well together. The desserts were catered by Catherine Cassidy, who is not only part of the Spaceships and Laser Beams family, but she is a fabulous vegan baker and owner of Goodness Bakeshop.  The menu consisted of cucumber sandwiches on tomato bread, mediterranean hummus spirals, pesto asparagus puffs and Greek salad kebabs with oregano dip.  The sweet treats that Catherine made included carrot cake, black forest cake and red velvet cookies {wow!}, and fresh (local) strawberries.

Fun Fact:  The letter “J” was brought in because everyone in the family has a first name that starts with the letter J, including baby to be.  Just Lovely!!
