“Glamping” it Up Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids

We recently featured this Vintage Red Wagon party from Elisa Stone of One Stone Events so we were excited when we saw here name pop up in our inbox. Elisa created this ‘Glamping’ (glamorous camping) party for a very active, very girly 13 year old. The girl hadn’t had a party in four years so Elisa wanted to do it right. The color palette was purple, turquoise and lime.  She spray painted the lanterns and hung them from a birch pole over the dessert table.  The focal point of the table was the cupcake display, Elisa made to look like a campfire {very clever!}.  Other desserts included S’mores pops on real branches {love!} and camp tent and pine cone cookies. Elisa used readily available items like argyle socks to wrap a mason jar, which hold the straws and forks.  For favors the girls were given a box of s’mores trail mix, topped with custom made lip balm that said ‘keep calm and glamp on’, s’mores scented.  There were also boxes of s’mores trail mix topped with a mini flashlight and a “No-girls allowed sign” by the boys area.  Fun activities included a mani/pedi station and a s’mores bar.  So great.
