Little Red Riding Hood Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids

We are loving this Little Red Riding Hood themed 5th birthday party that was sent to us by Courtney Portner {she doesn’t have a site yet, but stay tuned}.  We featured this Goldilocks feature a few months ago and it seems like classic nursery tale themed parties are becoming a trend.  Courtney did everything from styling the table to taking the photographs.  We love the hanging homemade topiaries, printables, and big bad wolf/little red riding hood cake.  Click on the links below to check out some of the sweet vendors.

Courtney invited ten of her daughter’s friends over for a cooking party where the girls made pizza and painted fruit wands.  Cooking/baking parties are always a hit for kids.  It is such a great way to get the kids to work together and hopefully introduce them to something they could love. One of our favorites was this one here. As a favor, each child received an apron to take home with them.  Very cute, Courtney!

Thanks again for your nice remarks. In case it helps answer a couple of questions – I learned how to make the fabric “flowers” on the table from this tutorial –

And a good friend made the wolf mask that my son wore – it is fashioned around a baseball hat – in case that helps.

  • Wow! Great party. A friend of mine told me to come and check it out as it’s so similar to the party I posted on my blog http://therigtrups.blogspot.com/2011/04/lulas-3rd-birthday-bash.html back in April. We threw a Little Red Riding Hood party for my 3 year old daughter and used the same printables, it was so much fun!
