Scallops & Dots Guest Dessert Feature

We fell in love with this pretty peach and raspberry scalloped guest dessert feature that was sent to us by Chelsea Arnold of Eye Candy Events in Australia.  We featured her beautiful Sip ‘n See table when her daughter Thalia was born.  This table was created for Thalia’s Christening.  We love all of the scalloped touches on the table. Chelsea told us she was inspired by the scalloped boxes on the Valentine’s Day table we created for Better TV.  If you look closely, you can see more scalloped touches on the table, including the scalloped lines of the tulips, the scalloped edging of the cakestand and compotes, and the scalloped bordered cookies.  I love when a theme is carried through the whole table, even when the details are subtle.

The table included sweet treats like vanilla shortbreads with monogram ‘T’ toppers, passionfruit curd cupcakes, dark chocolate, orange and almond chocolate bars and chocolate covered oreos designed to coordinate with the dotted papers.  Lovely!

DIY Tip - To make the scalloped stands yourself, you can simply place your treats on a hatbox, cut patterned cardstock with a scalloped scissor, wrap the cardstock around the hatbox and then attach the cardstock to the hatbox with double sided tape or glue dots.
