Viva Italia! Alison from Viva La Diva Events created this table to showcase a new exposed-brick filled private space. With the help of cake designer Heather Leavitt from Sweet Heather Anne, she created an Italian Tour de Force. I always talk about bringing inspiration in from surroundings. I am inspired every day living in Manhattan. I have let you into a couple of my favorite spots for inspirations here and here. For Heather, her inspiration came from Italian architecture. She was inspired by a pattern on a dining set from anthropologie and weathered terracotta pots. The backdrop is magnifico. An Italian courtyard was hand-drawn on a chalkboard backdrop. How great is that? Adding the lights was such a simple and creative way to make it feel more authentic. Pistachio, blood orange, and browned butter and sage macarons added pops of color. Beautiful.
