Shabby Chic Breakfast

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions

We’re continuing our shabby chic features this week {be sure to check out earlier posts if you have missed} and the next one up is a shabby chic breakfast submitted from Margherita of Le Chat de Sucre in Florence, Italy.   Margherita was inspired by early spring wildflowers, and she included recipes infused with lavender flowers, rose water and essence of violet.  All of the food was prepared following old country recipes. We love the limonata and tea carafes, the iced lemon bundt, the pane alla birra, and rice pudding with fruit. Doesn’t it all look so beautiful?  Le Chat de Sucre also created paper butterflies and labels using the pages of old books. This display could be inspiration for either a shabby chic Easter brunch or a royal wedding tea brunch.  Beautiful job!

  • Amy, it is such an honor to be featured in your blog! You are the reason I started doing this. One day I found myself staring at a picture of one of your dessert tables, wishing I could create something so beautiful myself… I’m still learning, but by posting my work, you give me hope that at least I’m on the right track! Thank you so much! And thanks to everybody for the wonderful comments! Love, Margherita
