Sunny Days Guest Dessert Feature

By: Amy Atlas, in Featured Submissions, Kids

Sunny days are definitely sweeping the clouds away with this featured submission.  This table was sent to us by Effi Tsoukatos from Le Petit Party in Australia which she created for her son Dimitri’s first birthday.  It’s not easy to make commercial characters look cute on a dessert table, but this one was executed perfectly.  The fun, happy colors, the character cupcakes and cake, the table being “brought to the guests by the letter D and the number 1” were all little touches that add to the sweetness of the table.  I adore the clean design of the big candy labels on the jars.  She also brought in the circle theme throughout the table which I always suggest to do. Pick a theme and stick with.  The bright and cheery color palette also made the weather outside seem so much brighter.  The party was originally supposed to be in her backyard.  However, mother nature did not cooperate and Effi woke up to a huge rain storm so the party had to be shifted indoors.  The table was originally supposed to be between two trees with the beautiful leaves as the back drop. Even though Effi had to make a last minute change, she did not miss a beat.  Excellent work Effi.
