Christmas Guest Dessert Feature

We are loving this Christmas guest dessert feature from Christina Nease of Celebrations at Home.  Christina created a fun, kid-friendly sweets table that would make any kid or adult feel like a kid in a candy store.  The milk doughnut snowman were inspired by this article from Better Homes and Gardens.  We’re totally smitten with them.  We also love the candy Christmas tree topiaries, the ice cream cone trees at the place settings, and the snowman peeps {coincidentally, we just received a huge order from peeps this morning for a Christmas segment we’re doing}.  The kids at the party made Christmas trees using ice cream cones, frosting and candy.  They also had hot cocoa after playing in the snow and wrote letters to Santa using free printables from Two Savvy Sisters. Scroll down to see all of the great pictures.  Fantastic job, Christina!

Also, we have some really big projects going on and will only be on here with posts intermittently until the New Year. Keep checking in, but just wanted to give you a heads up that we’re very busy this time of year.  We’ll have loads of inspiration for you to see in the New Year!  xoxo

  12. Absolutely adorable! The snowman milk bottles are out of control cute! I love the quality of the light in the photos, too–absolutely perfect and cheery for this display.

Ice cream cones make spectacular trees, especially when covered in royal icing. I just did that for an element on the dessert table for my Sugar Plum Fairy party (they represented an Icing Forest in the Land of Sweets). Add a little disco dust, and it’s pure magic!

  13. So beautiful everything!

Jenny, the frames are from IKEA and only 99 cents.

Sandy, I did a post nearly 2 years ago about transforming frappuccino bottles into “vintage” style milk bottles here: http://www.celebrationsathomeblog.com/2009/01/perfect-little-milk-bottles.html

Hope that helps! Thanks again! : )
