  • Andrea

    Definitely cupcakes, empanadas, & pie!

  • My favorite family recipe: Lebkuchen. We mix up the dough and let the anise and other spices release their flavors into the dough overnight. Then we gather for a family kitchen production: rolling, cutting the dough with Grandma’s cookie cutters, baking, frosting with delicious anise flavored goodness and finally decorating with colorful sprinkles. The entire house is infused with the spicy aroma of Lebkuchen! I can’t wait to get started!

  • Laura

I, unfortunately, am not the talented baker in my family. My fiance Ben is always whipping up goodies for me, and the way he looks at KitchenAid mixers in the stores always reminds me of the scene in a Christmas Story when the children have their noses pressed against the toy store window. He’ll probably bake anything that comes into his head, but I have a feeling this holiday season I’m going to be eating a lot of his famous Star-Wars themed desserts.

  • Brianne

What a divine gift this would be! My niece and nephew are coming to town for the holidays this year and every year we make the most beautiful mess baking sugar cookies with icing and sprinkles. As the resident “family baker,” I’ll be baking cakes, pumpkin bread, cupcakes, cookies and fudge brownies. Can’t wait!!!

  • Julie

Angel food cake and fresh whipped cream is so much better made with a kitchen aid in pink!

  • Cupcakes and cookies and other comfort food.

  • Kristin P

My daughter and I pick new recipes the week before Christmas every year that we haven’t made yet and test out our skills in the kitchen. • Tarsy

This year will be the first Christmas I will be baking for my daughter (she was too little to try anything last Christmas). Classic chocolate chip cookies for Santa of course, cranberry bread and apple crisp. YUM! 🙂

  • OH. EM. GEE! I was JUST talking about this shiney red mixer yesterday and how beautifully it would fit in with our purple and red decor. All I use now is some garbagey hand mixer that coats me with a thin layer of flour every time I use it, and I am a major baker!

I plan on baking several things – our traditional, from scratch gingerbread house, crazy gingerbread cookies (in our usual, non-traditional shapes, Hannukah candle bats, hula girls, etc.) and my knock-off Starbucks gingerbread loaf with cream cheese icing, DEELISH!

My stand mixer broke down a few days ago while I was making some buns. Of course, it was not a Kitchen Aid (I can’t afford one) but make me sad, I’d just got it as a present from my mom and I haven’t been able to bake anything!

  • Lisa

My son is finally of the age where we can bake together and boy does he LOVE it.

  • WOW!!! Thank you, Amy!! I’m a great fan and a great admirer of yours ever since I first set my eyes on your beautiful, beautiful work!! And for this, what a FUN-TASTIC & a PERFECT season give-away gift! 🙂 My son, Andrew and I love to bake together in our little kitchen; it is one of our Mom & son quality time together; not only that we have lots of fun but he is also learning a lot about baking, cooking & baking terminologies, recipes and measurements. We are always laughing and having lots of fun and the best part, we get to taste the fruit of our labor with lots of love, giggles and laughters. Just this past weekend I was sharing with my Andrew how much it would be easier to bake cakes and cookies and make frostings with a KitchenAid & how convenient it would be to use the paddle for thicker dough and whisk perfect whipped frosting but they’re very expensive so we make do with what we have at home, a small hand-held mixer. Especially this season, my 10 yr old son & I will be making snowball cakes, sugar cookies, chocolate chip cookies (his favorite) & try out new frosting recipes. His friends, classmates & teachers always look forward to his baked goods each holiday so we are sooo excited to see this; we almost peed in our pants!! 🙂 We hope that we have a chance to win this elegant, beautiful, perfect KitchenAid & it will surely look gorgeous & happy on our kitchen counter top. Thank you so very much, Amy, KitchenAid & Staff and Happy Holidays to all!
    Beth & Andrew

I CAN’T STOP SMILING WITH GRATITUDE & EXCITEMENT!! 🙂 Thank you, thank you so much Amy, for the opportunity!! This precious KitchenAid mixer would make such a GREAT AND PERFECT gift for me, for my son Andrew, and for our humble kitchen! I can’t wait to make more wonderful, memorable memories with my baby boy baking away in our little kitchen. WOW, I’m torn between the colors of Buttercup or the Ice Blue KitchenAid mixer but since blue is my son’s favorite color, I’d pick that gorgeous Ice Blue color! We will be baking away with snowball cakes, cupcakes, brownies, sugar cookies, different flavored homemade frostings and more!! Giggling & dancing away with excitement!! Thanks so much!

Can I play? Can I play?
I’m French and I love Christmas time. Baking for my family is one of the best pleasure on earth. This year, i’m gonna try something we have in the south of France, called “calisson”. This is a sweet candy made with almond and melon, and it’s so cute. The one i’m gonna make will include pistacchios. The story of that pastry is so romantic: long time ago, there was a king, René d’Anjou, and a queen, Jeanne de Laval, and they got married. The queen was often sad and never smiled. But the patissier, who loved her in secret, made that sweet candy. When she ate one, she made a smile. She even said these candies were sweet as hugs, “di cali soun” in old french. The name of that sweet was found, calisson.

When I go home from grad school for the holidays (Monday! I can’t wait!) my mom and I are going to bake So. Much. Our favourite things to bake during the holidays are press cookies, because we’re both artists and its so much fun to decorate each tiny one differently, with coloured sugar, sprinkles, and our absolute favourites because they melt slightly into the cookie when you bake them, red hot candies right in the center (((((:!

  • Would love to win a new KitchenAid ARTISAN mixer! My favorite thing to make our royal frosted sugar cookies. They are almost too pretty to eat!

I would LOVE a Kitchen Aid! My children and I love making all kinds of goodies, cookies, breads, cakes! We have been having ‘cook offs’ with my husband and 3 children where we split into teams. We select something like brownies and then each team gets to pick their own recipe and their own additions and then we vote to see which one was the favorite! What a joy the Kitchen Aid would add to this activity!

One of my favorite Christmas memories is setting aside a day with my mom and making sugar cookies with our old family recipe. Decorating was always my favorite part (second to taste-testing them of course!). Now my favorite part is making cute goodie bags to deliver the cookies in. Can’t wait for my mom to come to my house this year so we can start the baking!

  • I have wanted one of these for AGES!!! It’s even on my amazon wish list. What an amazing giveaway! This would make the 100 cake pops I have to make so much easier!

  • Baker Rosie

Making homemade candy! LOTS of it!

  • A great addition this would be,
Using a “Kitchen” to “Aid” those in need!
    Measure, mix, bake & eat,
    Wrap those goodies into treats!
Go and seek and you will find,
Giving food gifts is so kind!

So if I win this Kitchen-Aid,
Baking won’t stop till all is made!
    When the baking is complete,
I’ll share my blessing with those I meet!

Peanut butter balls (quite possibly the most satisfying treat ever)
    Almond crescent cookies
    Checkerboard cookies

Each Christmas I make personalised gingerbread houses and Christmas trees for all of my friends and family.
