Fruit and Veggie Table

I know it is rare to see a non-dessert table on this blog, but as soon as I saw this fruit and veggie table by Esther Kim of My Bride Story, I knew I had to share it with you all.  Esther was inspired by our dessert tables and used the same techniques on this healthy spread as we would for a dessert spread.  Like myself, Esther is a mom and is conscious of what her son eats so she wanted to present fruits & veggies in a fun and stylish way that would appeal to both parents and kids.  I’m loving the watermelon and caprese salads, pumpkin latte shots, and the yogurt parfait shots.  I also adore the brassica cabbage and artichoke arrangements and brussel sprout garland created by Kristine Shin and the lovely tags from the gals at Wiley Valentine.  This is a chic and healthy alternative to having desserts at your party.  Fantastic job! • Thanks Amy for the feature!
Thank you so much for the feature! I have to give HUGE shout outs to Kristine Shin, a floral & food stylist, and Wiley Valentine, a stationery designer for all their hard work. Kristine really went above and beyond by purchasing all the ingredients herself, made all the beautiful arrangements made ONLY of veggies. She spent 10 hrs making the brussel sprout garland!! Wiley Valentine created fabulous tags that were clean & modern, which dressed up our fruits and vegetables beautifully.
I am sure that parents who are health conscious and always looking for ways to feed their children a healthy diet will find our table inspiring, especially as the holiday season is rapidly approaching!

  • What perfect timing for this post! I’ve been planning an anti-dessert table for our annual Gingerbread House Decorating party (people overdose on candy on the sly while decorating, so there’s really no need for a dessert display). Those vegetable floral arrangements are absolutely inspired.

As someone who can’t eat most the lovelies presented on this sight (gluten free…but it doesn’t stop me from looking!), I LOVE LOVE this guest table. What a delight to see veggies presented so beautifully it makes you want to dig in! Love your sight Amy!!

  • OH.MY.GOSH. Seriously? Beautiful! And that took a lot of work!

  • Wonderful idea! I’ve been trying to think of healthier alternatives to dessert tables (especially when the guest of honour has allergies that prevent her from enjoying candies and many desserts) and this would be perfect! Thank you!

  • Snaps to the entourage who created this work of art. So refreshing not to see the same ol’, same ol’. This table is truly stunning.

  • Stupendous! On all fronts, balance of colours, rythmn, the arrangements, attention to detail. I have a whole new view on brussel sprouts – not my fave veggie. An excellent option for some of those looking for more “all natural” buffets. Well done,

There are several recipes for these watermeloncubes on e.g. pinterest or google. Try “filled watermelon” and you’ll probably end up with something to your liking. (I did =o) ).
