Enchanted Garden Guest Dessert Feature

I’m way overdue on getting you some guest dessert table features.  There has been an influx of amazing dessert table submissions from all over the globe and I’m going to get a few of my faves up here today because many of you have been asking for feedback. I’ll be sharing sweet styling tips so keep checking in!  In the meantime, the first feature of the day is a fanciful enchanted garden feature from Janelle and Samone of Cake Ink. They created this mini dessert bar for a sweet girl’s first birthday party.

The sweets included a two-tier chocolate mud cake with a large handmade sugar rose, butterfly cupcakes and cookies, cloud shaped marshmallows {very fun!}, meringues, fizzoes {which are sherbet candies} and iced VoVo cookies {an Aussie fave!}. For thirsty guests, they served pink lemonade in vintage bottles. This mini sweets table is totally appropriate for a small kid’s party since too many sweets on a young kid’s table could be a little overwhelming {for both moms/dads and kids!} I love how Janelle and Samone broke up the expected pink and purple palette with hints of blue and green. It freshens up the overdone pink and purple palette that I see so often for girl parties. I also adore the fondant butterflies on the cookies, the garden napkins, and the beaded vessels! Great job, ladies!

Janelle and Samone just opened up an Etsy shop for their fun paper goods so check it out here. Check out the adorable train party they created recently as well. Come back again today for more great features.
