Alice in Wonderland Guest Dessert Feature

I’m back with my 3rd guest feature of the day!  This one comes from Kasey Buick, who created a beautiful Alice in Wonderful dessert spread for her daughter’s 8th birthday. I get A LOT of Alice in Wonderland submissions, but this one stood out from the rest.  I love the layered vintage lace linens, the gorgeous chandelier and props, and the “eat me” printed bags.  The paper flower and butterfly garland, birdcage backdrop, and wonderland bunting letters are pretty fabulous, also.  This was most certainly the best birthday {or un-birthday} for Kasey’s daughter.  Fantastic job, Kasey!

A few sweet styling {and practical} tricks…

(1) If you’re having your sweets spread out of doors, try to put your sweets out last minute.  You don’t want bugs finding a home on your lovely buttercream cake.  Also, be careful with items that can melt like chocolate and buttercream.

(2) If you’re serving wrapped candies {like Kasey did above}, make sure you have a garbage can handy for wrappers.  It is something that planners sometimes don’t think of when creating these displays.

Are you ready for another guest feature?  I’m playing catch up today and making a record for myself!

  • I see there’s a bit of curling with the paper backdrop. A simple dowel glued or taped to the bottom could solve that.
