As a pre-school teacher, I know that starting the school year off with some fun and sweetness will be a great way to make sure my new students have fun and feel comfortable during their first “school” experience. To kick off our year with some sweetness, I would bake chocolate and vanilla swirl cupcakes using the Meri Meri Fairy and Robot kits before the first day of school. During snack time on our first day together, the children can decorate their cupcake with their new friends, using their fine motor skills to swirl on vanilla buttercream icing, and then pick out their favorite candy toppings (M & Ms, licorice, sprinkles, and gummy bears) and colored icing from New York Cakes. This will surely be a memorable treat, and a great ice-breaker to get to know my little ones on the first day of school. Yummy!
