I would use it, not only for delightful edible items like cupcakes, and whatnot, but also for so many other things. You see, in my home, I use many pedestals. A large wooden one on my kitchen counter acts as my fruit "bowl", a beautiful swirled pedestal (with a pie plate on top) holds my olive oil, kosher salt pig, and other favorite seasonings that are more daily cooking use things, one is on my dresser in my bedroom and holds some of my jewelry, and so on.
I have a thing for milk glass, and while this doesn't look exactly like white milk glass (and the green, too!), it would go really nicely on a table of mixed milk glass pieces, don't you think???

Love it! Simplistic, yet unique. Thinking of it as a multipurpose piece. think it would look lovely serving mini-muffins for a breakfast, bite-size sammies (sandwiches) for a brunch or lunch, a centerpiece for dinner, or a display for some snickers cookies (my fav. dessert).

My husband and I are in the middle of an amazing and trying remodel of a 1904 original homestead that is located in Saint Louis Park, only a few minutes out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. The house had the original wood work and charm, but needed a lot of help and renovation. We are working toward a summer photoshoot of the house for our annual holiday card. My husband being a design engineer and myself being a graphic designer we are already art directing the photoshoot to be on our newly added back wrap-porch that we will be decorating with vintage furniture, old books, antique suitcases and showcasing with beautiful spread of hand crafted desserts, cheeses and punch. We are planning to send out letterpressed invitations to our friends and family to our vintage back yard party. So they will arrive after the photoshoot to see the house and help us eat all the beautiful desserts, where this beautiful cake stand would fit in perfectly with our vision.

It was also interesting to see all the different events that were mentioned. While I know you'll choose this winner probably at random, I want to add my ideas as well.
My husband's birthday cake would fill such a stand, as would my collection of memorabilia from my overseas travels. How very generous of you! I always do a special Valentine breakfast and dinner for the family. I think this would be lovely stacked high with our traditional chocolate chip waffles. Then for dessert a chocolate ganache cake surrounded by strawberries! Also I am giving a baby shower next month and this would set the cake off beautifully . I’d love to add this to my collection of milk glass. This piece would be the centerpiece of the collection.
I'm going to have an "old lady luncheon" for Valentine's Day and invite all the old ladies from my church that are often times overlooked…I would serve the ladies homemmade chocolate eclairs on those beautiful cake plates! xo, Nan

Oh my stars!!!! I love these lovely pieces! I think that white works with everything….what would I do with this. We have a small farm (not where we live) where we grow organic veggies, flowers, and I just started 2 bee hives last spring. i would use this stand as the centerpiece of an outdoor picnic under the big trees with a homemade blackberry tart ( they grow wild here in Tennessee), I use daisies that grow wild as my flowers and put them in glass milk jars. i use a quilt my aunt made for me when I married..that's how i would use it.
What couldn't you use this for! The main thing I think I would use this for is to glam up my bridal shower a bit. We're trying to save money by having it in my MOH's condo party room and I will definitely need all the special touches I can get. After that, I would use it to help dress up our buffet table for the wine tastings and cookie swap parties that we host. These are truly amazing–something I haven't seen anywhere!
